Finished log-style home exterior after remodeling work in Allentown.

Lehigh Valley & Berks County

Exterior Remodeling

Exterior work has to do more than look better. We plan around access, exposure, and finish durability so siding, trim, window, stair, and facade updates hold up through weather and daily use.

Example Scope Snapshot

Full-elevation exterior refresh, Lehigh Valley, PA

Lehigh Valley, PA

Front and side elevation refresh on a two-story home with weathered trim, failing caulk joints, and inconsistent cladding transitions that were letting moisture behind the siding.

  • Damaged siding and trim sections removed to inspect sheathing condition underneath; two areas of soft sheathing replaced before new cladding went back on
  • House-wrap laps checked and corrected where previous work had reversed the overlap, restoring top-over-bottom drainage continuity across the repair zones
  • Window and door head flashing integrated under the weather barrier so water hitting the wall above sheds over the flashing and out, not behind the frame
  • New fiber-cement siding installed bottom-to-top with proper reveal spacing and nailing to allow thermal movement without buckling
  • Soffit-to-fascia transitions detailed with aluminum trim and drip edge so water at the roofline moves into the gutter, not behind the fascia board
  • Exterior trim joints sealed with paintable polyurethane sealant at prescribed locations only — not used to mask gaps from poor fit
  • All upper-story work accessed with extension ladders and staged scaffolding; ground protection in place for landscaping along the foundation
  • Final coat of exterior acrylic applied after all caulk, flashing, and trim work cured — not before — so the paint film bridges clean surfaces, not wet sealant

Flashing and weather-barrier details follow manufacturer installation requirements and IRC water-resistive barrier standards.

Shown to illustrate weatherproofing depth. Your scope will vary based on existing conditions, elevation count, and material selections.

Quick answers

Do you work on second-story or hard-to-reach elevations?

Yes. Access is planned with ladders or lifts as needed so upper areas are done safely and finishes stay consistent.

Can we improve curb appeal without residing the whole house?

Often yes. Targeted siding, trim, window, or facade updates can sharpen the look without a full tear-off.
